Head Chef
Position: Head Chef
Location: Winchester House Club, Putney
Job Type: Full‑time (Thursday to Sunday, additional shifts may be required)
Start: Immediate start available
Wage: £20 to £25 p/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a very small kitchen team.
- Develop attractive, commercially viable menus.
- Manage stock control, ordering and food cost targets.
- Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality food for members and guests.
- Support club events, private functions and special dining occasions (in addition to the general service Thursday – Sunday).
- Create an organised and efficient kitchen operation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
- Level 3 accreditation in Food Hygiene.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Understanding of food cost control and kitchen financial performance.
- Calm, reliable, professional under pressure.
- Passion for quality food and hospitality.
- Complete understanding of food safety and compliance requirements.
