Contributes to the Hospital’s mission by overseeing the daily operations of patient transporter services and functioning as a transporter to support clinical teams in transporting patients during their stay and upon discharge. This lead role impacts safety, patient throughput, and satisfaction by ensuring efficient, compassionate transportation.

Job Description and Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Preferred: At least 2 years in patient care or transportation
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED)

Job Functions:

• Oversees shift operations, assigning tasks to optimize efficiency and ensure staff compliance.
• Collaborates with leadership and volunteers to plan and improve operations.
• Assumes supervisory responsibilities in the absence of managers, impacting patient care and department workflow.
• Demonstrates expertise, fosters safety, and promotes professional excellence.
• Addresses operational issues, customer service concerns, and safety promptly, following proper channels.
• Provides performance feedback and mentorship to staff.
• Develops staffing plans that are fair, efficient, and fiscally responsible.
