The Role
Reporting to the Events Manager and providing support to the whole Enterprises and Events team during their busiest time of year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting and supporting all members of the department in their respective roles within Enterprises, as deemed necessary at the time.
- Assisting in the management of events (both internal and external) from initial enquiry, through to risk assessments, delivery and financial reconciliation post event.
- Assist with the management of departmental email inboxes and booking systems, ensuring responses to all client enquiries in a timely fashion.
- Supporting in client site visits as necessary and as part of the sales process.
- Assisting with internal departmental communications, to ensure the smooth execution of all events.
- Assisting with design of marketing materials, using design suites including Canva, Adobe, Publisher etc.
- Assisting with the delivery of events on the ground, including some evenings and weekends as necessary. Time off in lieu will apply for out of hours work.
- To assist with the booking, rotas and management of group and standby tours as deemed necessary by the Tour Coordinator, from time to time.
- General day-to-day office management and administration.
About You
Essential Skills & Qualities:
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to handle internal and external communications confidentially and efficiently.
- Highly organised with a passion for planning and event delivery, maintaining consistently high standards.
- Interest in the organising of varied and complex events from start to finish.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, with a varied workload.
- Outgoing, with the ability to develop relationships with a wide range of organisations and individuals.
- The ability to work on their own, and as part of a team.
- The ability to work some evenings and weekends when event requirements demand it.
- A clear and confident communicator, both written and orally.
- Experience of Microsoft packages, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint as a minimum.
What We Offer
- Start Date: June. Exact date to be confirmed and is subject to the availability of the successful candidate.
- Working Hours: It is expected that the working hours for your internship will be between Monday-Friday, there may also be a requirement of working evenings and weekends. Due to the nature of this role your hours could vary.
- Salary: The rate of pay will be £12.71 per hour excluding holiday pay.
