This is an exciting role within Winchester City Council's housing team.
Responsibilities
- Working with the Building Safety Manager to review fire safety, key repair data and surveys.
- Create scopes of work considering other teams within WCC, current legislation and family's requirements.
- Manage delivery of works on site with robust performance management, H&S management, customer communications and delivery assurance.
- Support the Landlord Service in informing and enabling effective communication with all stakeholders including supporting the development and delivery of resident engagement strategies in relation to planned maintenance.
- Demonstrate sound problem solving and decision making in day-to-day working practices and show the highest personal standards of integrity and conduct, ensuring all Winchester City Council policies and procedures are always adhered to.
- Build and maintain good relationships with colleagues, customers, contractors, contacts and other stakeholders to ensure our customers' safety and our reputation as a social landlord.
Qualifications
- Experience working in fire safety, specifically in social housing/landlord services.
- Understanding of the latest building legislation and how this relates to the work we do.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and experience in the above environment.
- NEBOSH or SMSTS is desirable.
- Either hold or be prepared to undertake appropriate training/qualifications in compliance management.
- Continuous professional development and up-to-date knowledge of building works in a social housing environment, with membership to bodies such as CIH, APM, RICS, MIFSM, etc.
- Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
