Wickes Northampton – Home Delivery Porter to Driver
We are looking for a Customer Service Home Delivery Assistant to join our team in Northampton on Kitchens & Bathrooms contract, who will be interested in joining our Apprenticeship Program. Working as a two person crew we are looking for people who have the passion to deliver excellent Customer Service.
This role is key to the success of our business and you will represent our business to the customer on a daily basis. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional levels of customer service and ensuring the customer receives their deliveries in excellent condition, on time – every time.

- Porter £28571 per annum plus compliance bonus £1300 per annum (A standard Category B driving licence requires)
- Van Driver £32754 per annum plus compliance bonus £1300 per annum
- HGV Driver C2 £39004 per annum plus yearly bonuses of £1300 per annum
- Overtime available – For hours worked over 45 hours
- Shift Pattern: Tuesday to Saturday
- Start time: between 05:00 – 06:00
- Contracted to 45 hours per week
- Extensive and comprehensive induction programme
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure first class customer service is experienced at all times
- Provide a professional delivery service to meet and exceed expectations of our customers
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately at the end of each journey
- Operate in a safe, responsible and courteous manner always, and in accordance with company policy & procedures
- Complete all paperwork in line with procedures
Experience And Qualifications
- Excellent customer service is essential to the role
- Have a positive, flexible attitude to work
- Good timekeeper, with the ability to work unsupervised
- Home delivery experience is desirable
- Be flexible in relation to shifts and duties
Due to the nature of the work heavy lifting is required. It is therefore imperative that the successful applicant be physically fit.
