Overview

Warehouse Standard.Operative role at Wincanton.

To undertake a variety of warehouse activities including picking, loading and unloading of vehicles. FLT and pallet truck operation using RF systems. The role involves manual handling and some heavy lifting. Completion of paperwork daily (e.g., returns manifests, daily driver logs). To ensure the operation meets customer service requirements and site KPIs by completing each function to the highest standard. Carry out general housekeeping and maintenance to keep the site in top condition. Be responsible for the Health and Safety of yourself and other operatives by adhering to safe working practices.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake a variety of warehouse activities including picking, loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Operate FLT and pallet truck using RF systems.
  • Complete daily paperwork (e.g., returns manifests, daily driver logs).
  • Maintain general housekeeping and the site to high standard.
  • Be responsible for health and safety of yourself and others by adhering to safe working practices.

Qualifications

  • Commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility to work various shift patterns to respond to seasonal demand.
  • Warehouse experience would be an advantage, but is not essential as training will be provided.
  • Excellent punctuality, performance, reliability and commitment.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and ability to respond to changing demands.
  • Previous experience operating MHE or holding existing licences is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Good health and safety awareness.
