Warehouse Operative Nights

Wincanton is recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join our night team in Portbury, supporting the day-to-day warehouse activities.

Job Description

As a Warehouse Operative, you\’ll report directly to the Warehouse Team Manager. This role offers variety to ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations. You\’ll deliver KPIs both productively and accurately, ensuring a seamless customer journey while maintaining high Health & Safety standards.

Benefits

• £14.06 per hour
• £29,243.76 per annum
• Nights, Monday to Friday, 22:00 to 06:00
• 40 hours per week with paid breaks
• Overtime paid at time & half after 40 hours
• 28 days annual leave including Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Accurate picking of stock using handheld devices
• Loading items onto pallets
• Checking stock and assembled loads before dispatch
• Handling stock with care to ensure quality
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse
• Adhering to Health & Safety regulations
• Supporting operational efficiency and hygiene standards

Candidate Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous
• FLT Counterbalance and reach experience is advantageous
• Attention to detail
• Ability to safely operate mechanical handling equipment
• Reliability, self-motivation, team spirit, and flexibility
• Willingness to upskill for MHE licenses; duties involve minimal MHE use (max 2 hours per shift)
