Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join the team at our British Salt site in Middlewich. Leading the operation and managing the working relationship between Wincanton and British Salt to deliver an agreed annual budget including efficiency goals and objectives underpinned with outstanding customer service.

Day to Day
- Ensure that a best-in-class HSE performance is achieved within the sites and that a culture of safety in everything we do is embedded and the welfare of all staff.
- Manage the facilities requirements and preferred suppliers in line with compliance
- Accountable for the delivery of all contractual SLA KPI\’s.
- Manage financial requirements in line with customer budgets.
- Build strong working relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure first class operational performance which results in long term partnerships, including transport.
- Deliver a culture of efficiency, Operations Excellence and Continuous Improvement by utilizing the most appropriate methodology on a consistent basis.
- Develop and execute Customer satisfaction improvement plans.
- Ensure contract change is applied in accordance with process, ensuring robust governance is applied.
- Organize and lead appropriate business cadence to include regular, formal reviews and reports.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders across Procurement and Operational teams.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all operational matters, including requests and issue escalations as needed.
- Develop \’internal\’ network (across Sectors and central functions), to leverage multifaceted solutions. Key collaboration with Account and Business Development teams.
- Communicating and liaising with other departments to ensure a smooth and effective client experience.
- Be responsible for creating the monthly Operational performance and QBR packs.
- Lead weekly internal GM and external customer meetings.
- Ensure all mandatory training is completed across the site.
- Create succession plans.
- Compliant to MHRA, BRC and any other audit requirements.
- Need to be accountable for the stock and inventory in line with contractual requirements.
