Overview

We are recruiting a dedicated Transport Administrator Clerk to join our dynamic Northampton Transport Team. In this role, you will be an integral part of our busy Transport Department, responsible for ensuring the timely, safe, and accurate movement of vehicles and related activities. Your efforts will support the efficient dispatch and receipt of vehicles, aligning with our service strategy for the JS store network.

This role is working 3 on 3 off, 12 hours on night shift, 6pm to 6am. Annual Salary: ÂŁ27,500 plus night shift premium.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the timely, safe, and accurate movement of vehicles and associated activities, in line with the JS store network service strategy.
  • Perform all tasks according to KPI requirements and service agreements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement for operational excellence.
  • Ensure personal and site-wide adherence to Wincanton and customer-specific health and safety policies.
  • Manage vehicle and driver administration per Company/Client procedures.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of WMS/transport IT systems (Microlise, YardSmart, Tachomaster).
  • Keep accurate records and meet productivity, performance, accuracy, timekeeping, and attendance targets.
  • Escalate issues to Managers as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the site, embodying Company values.
  • Support new starters and resolve local issues through effective teamwork.
