We are looking for a Transport Admin Clerk to join our Grocery Sector based at our site in Greenford. This challenging and exciting role will appeal to individuals with experience, drive, determination, and enthusiasm. 12 hour 4 on 4 off shifts - Days shift
How will you contribute?
- Administer the movement of vehicles (and associated activity) received and despatched from the site in a timely, safe and accurate standard, in line with the agreed service strategy to the JS store network.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance details to ensure adherence to legal compliance (ie: scheduling, MOTs and servicing).
- Coordinate and support repair and maintenance requirements for Warehouse and Transport Fleet operations in line with legal compliance and regulations.
- Support with compliance working with our Transport Operation plan and collating and presenting information to the Planning team.
- Support with product of equipment leasing and hiring.
- Help develop a culture of continuous improvement to drive best-in-class activity and operational excellence.
- Take ownership and be part of our culture of care through H&S practices. Work in collaboration with others on H&S and welfare matters.
- Carry out the required administration in line with the agreed Company/Client procedure to maintain the movement of vehicles and drivers entering and exiting the site.
- Maintain accurate records in a timely, efficient manner with attention to detail. Ensuring relevant information relating to transport legislation is available.
- Work in accordance with agreed targets set by the Company and customer with regard to productivity, performance, accuracy, timekeeping and attendance.
What will you bring to our team?
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced office environment, with strong knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Previous Transport experience would be preferred but not essential.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of information within an efficient timeframe.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ approach.
- Good team player who can work on their own initiative.
- Someone looking to progress and develop within the department and the company.
- Good communicator at all levels.
