Job Description
The People Assistant role supports the People Team with a range of HR administrative duties, ensuring efficient HR processes and supporting the People and Management Teams.
How will you contribute?
- Administering HR related documentation such as invite letters, maternity/paternity letters.
- Maintaining the HR filing systems.
- Keeping up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Maintaining and updating trackers.
- Providing general HR advice supporting the Management Teams.
- Producing weekly and monthly reports.
- Supporting Managers and People Team with ER issues of low level complexity (absence, disciplinary, grievance issues) including advice, minute taking, supporting meetings and writing relevant correspondence.
- Supporting the HR manager/HR Advisor with employee training needs.
- Processing new starters and leavers, completing the onboarding process of new employees and the induction process.
- Scheduling meetings.
- Answering queries.
What will you bring?
- Ideally you have working experience in an HR environment or are working towards your CIPD and looking to start your HR career.
- You are a confident communicator with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
- You are proactive and have a solution driven approach.
- HR related qualifications (desirable not essential).
- A desire to learn and develop within HR.
- Organised with the ability to prioritise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
- Good IT skills to include Microsoft Excel.
- Good problem‑solving skills.
- Experience keeping and maintaining employee records/files.
- Up to date employment law knowledge.
