Responsibilities

  • Ensure conduct and behaviour to be compliant with Wincanton Health & Safety legislation and guidelines
  • Work in a team environment
  • Operate customer & Wincanton IT systems as required
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately
  • A range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site
  • Undertake all training necessary to fulfil the requirement of flexibility to enable presence within any required areas of the warehouse
  • To undertake such additional duties as may be reasonably required for the effective role
  • Ensure time and attendance within Company set standards
  • Be available for call out work as part of an existing team
  • Flexibility – overtime requirements
  • Ensure that any issues are escalated to management
  • Carry out operational tasks as requested in order to achieve departmental and site objectives
  • React to change due to operational and client requirements and carrying out duties in a professional and timely fashion
  • Ensure the correct handling of all client products is carried out at all stages within the facility
  • Complete all relevant documentation as required in order to provide a quality service to our client and, therefore, contributing to greater operational efficiency
  • Be committed to continuous improvement in line with operational needs, constantly striving for increased efficiency, productivity and growth

  • Compliance with all Wincanton policies and procedures
  • Able to provide and understand the need for a high standard of customer service

  • PC literate and numerate with good communication skills, including a minimum of a basic understanding of Microsoft Office as required
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also independently and to show initiative
  • Flexibility is required regarding shift patterns
  • Possess a positive attitude with a keen and enthusiastic approach
  • Ability to use IT Systems in accordance with training provided
  • Attention to detail required to assume quality checking/quality control
  • Ability to train others to a high standard
  • Compliance with manual handling procedures
