Job Description

Working for our growing IKEA contract at our brand new, state of the art site in Dartford. Customer service will be at the heart of this role, creating a better everyday! Wincanton are in an exciting growth period having recently won several new contracts and in tender for a lot more! What will you be doing as a Warehouse Colleague

  • Reporting to the warehouse supervisor
  • Working in a team environment in a safe manner adhering to site Health & Safety regulations
  • Loading vehicles ready for customer deliveries
  • Ensuring quality is of the highest standards and all stock is handled with care so it arrives at our customers in perfect condition
  • Operating mechanical handling equipment
  • Checking of picked stock and assembled loads prior to dispatch
  • Ensuring high standards are met in line with Ikea’s quality processes
  • A range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site

Relevant Skills And Experience As a Warehouse Colleague

  • Previous experience within warehousing is essential
  • The ability to read and understand instructions
  • The ability to count accurately
  • Have the appropriate hand, eye and foot coordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment
  • Counter Balance essential PPT Licenses are desirable
  • You will be reliable, self-motivated, a strong team player and will have a flexible approach to work
  • Physically able to assist in the movement of goods which may include bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and lifting in line with Health and Safety regulations
