Job Description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure conduct and behaviour to be compliant with Wincanton Health & Safety legislation and guidelines.
- Work in a team environment.
- Operate customer & Wincanton IT systems as required.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
- A range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site.
- Undertake all training necessary to fulfil the requirement of flexibility to enable presence within any required areas of the warehouse.
- To undertake such additional duties as may be reasonably required for the effective role.
- Ensure time and attendance within Company set standards.
- Support and provide training to new and existing employees.
- Flexibility – overtime requirements.
- Ensure that any issues are escalated to management.
- Carry out operational tasks as requested to achieve departmental and site objectives.
- React to change due to operational and client requirements and carrying out duties in a professional and timely fashion.
- Ensure the correct handling of all client products is carried out at all stages within the facility.
- Complete all relevant documentation as required to provide a quality service to our client and, therefore, contributing to greater operational efficiency.
- Be committed to continuous development in line with operational needs, constantly striving for increased efficiency, productivity, and growth.

Person Specification
Experience, skills and attributes:
- Able to provide and understand the need for a high standard of customer service.
- A proactive, flexible and \"can do\" attitude to resolve issues and challenges.
- The individual needs to be able to demonstrate attention to detail and an accurate and precise way of working.
- PC literate and numerate with good communication skills, including a minimum of a basic understanding of Microsoft Office as required.
- Ability to work as part of a team but also independently and to show initiative.
- Flexibility is required regarding shift patterns.
- Possess a positive attitude with a keen and enthusiastic approach.
- Ability to use IT Systems in accordance with training provided.
- Attention to detail required to assume quality checking/quality control.
