Wincanton is looking for experienced drivers to join our team at the Doncaster B&Q distribution centre.
We specialize in delivering home improvement products for the UK’s largest DIY retailer to private households.
As part of a two-person crew, you will deliver exceptional customer service as the face of B&Q, ensuring deliveries are received in excellent condition and on time—every time.
Working hours: 48-hour week, Tuesday to Saturday, with start times between 06:00 and 07:00.
Salary: £36,192 per year.
Requirements include a minimum of 2 years multi-drop experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional driving services and exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods in excellent condition.
- Engage with customers politely and build rapport, addressing queries effectively both face-to-face and via phone.
- Complete delivery documentation accurately, complying with company and legislative standards.
- Maintain health and safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and report incidents.
- Adhere to transport and working time regulations.
Candidate requirements:
- Valid Class 2 driving license.
- Valid CPC and Digi Card.
- No more than 6 points on license.
- Smart appearance with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with delivering bulky items.
- Previous retail and commercial driving experience is desirable.
- DBS check will be conducted.
