We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stock Manager to join our successful team at the Charlton Sainsburys site. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a management team that promotes culture, performance, and engagement with its talented teams. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse stock and systems teams ensuring key stakeholder and customer requirements are met.

Salary: Competitive

Hours of work: 37.5 Hours

How will you contribute?

  • Responsible for the overall management of stock and system team for the site.
  • Coordinating cycle counting disciplines and producing analytical data from the results that identifies trends and recommends corrective action.
  • Ensure the routines of layout maintenance, housekeeping processes and health checks are completed in line with the agreed schedules.
  • Ensure appropriate stock procedures and processes are documented and regularly reviewed to evidence compliance.
  • Deliver the contractual Key Performance Indicators relating to stock management.
  • Manage the customers stock loss to ensure the account isn’t over tolerance.
  • Manage a team of administrators ensuring the department runs efficiently and within budget constraints.
  • Develop and manage customer and departmental relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the Warehouse Management Systems and its associated administration consistently meet the site and customer expectations.
  • Responsible for audit checks, stock damage limitation and where required the introduction of corrective action.
  • Recruit, train, motivate and mentor team members to ensure flexible team with the ability to achieve KPI’s.
  • Support system projects to ensure stock integrity is maintained.
  • Effectively contribute as part of the site managerial team to support positive behaviour and culture.
  • Identify opportunity for, and to instigate procedure and process improvements as part of a continuous improvement culture.
  • To adhere to and follow Company policies/procedures, including Quality, Health, and Safety to ensure compliance to statutory obligations.
  • Responsible for Health and Safety of themselves and other team members by adhering to safe working practices.

What will you bring?

  • Stock management/relevant industrial experience.
  • People management skills and the ability to manage a team.
  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • A strong financial understanding in an environment linked to stock.
  • Confident in the gathering, cleansing, and summarising data for presentation in numerical and graphical reporting formats.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyse data.
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • A flexible and organised approach with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines.
