Bridgwater – Warehouse Operative @ Wincanton

Position Summary: Receipt and preparation of items for the HPC build, use of multiple tools, and ensuring safe storage and carriage to site. This role is part of the Bridgwater operation within J24 Asset Warehouse, MLC Warehouse, and a project team integrating stock between systems for the HPC Nuclear Build.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a safety‑first mindset and active engagement with safety initiatives
  • Operate MHE to unload and load deliveries into floor and racking locations
  • Prepare and complete warehouse deliveries according to schedule
  • Inventory control via use of scan guns, tablets and Warehouse Management System
  • Deliver high personal standards to achieve KPIs in safety, quality, performance and service
  • Take pride in ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the operation
  • Use various tools such as banding machines, scales, and other manual support equipment

Experience, Skills, and Attributes

  • Experience working within a warehouse environment
  • Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to make recommendations for improvement
  • Enthusiastic, committed and able to respond positively to changing demands
  • MHE licence(s) desirable but not essential as training will be provided
  • Career progression will be available for the right candidates
  • CITB Operatives or equivalent
