Job Description:
Wincanton is looking for a 7.5 tonnes Driver with a passion for customer service to join our 2-man home delivery team in Northampton, carrying out deliveries for our Wickes contract. The role involves driving vans and other vehicle types as operational needs dictate.
Salary: £36,270 per annum plus yearly bonuses of £1,300
Working days: Tuesday to Saturday
Starting between 0400 and 0600
Hours: 45 hours per week
Overtime paid at basic hourly rate
Delivering kitchen and bathroom flatpack products to customers\’ homes as part of a two-person crew.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicles and operate equipment safely and professionally, following policies and legislation.
- Ensure vehicle security and adherence to procedures.
- Perform vehicle and equipment checks before operation and report defects.
- Report delivery issues or exceptions promptly.
- Report to traffic office for debrief upon return.
- Self-manage and use initiative to solve problems.
- Maintain health and safety standards, report incidents, and adhere to safe working practices.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid in-date C1 licence
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Full Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
- Minimum 6 months driving experience
- Positive and flexible attitude
- Good timekeeping and ability to work unsupervised
- DBS check will be undertaken
- Capable of heavy manual handling due to physically demanding nature of work
