Overview
Warrington, Cheshire, United Kingdom. We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Colleague to join our team at our Warrington site on our Primark contract. Working 40 hours a week Sunday to Thursday on 10pm to 6am shift. This role will report to the Warehouse Team Manager.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all required warehouse functions including order picking, FLT, cross-dock, checking of paperwork for accuracy, loading/unloading trailers and rigid vehicles; work to a high standard of accuracy.
- Liaise with hauliers and internal customers on operation issues.
- Comply with Quality, Health and Safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
- Undertake any other duties necessary to fulfil the role; maintain Health and Safety for themselves and other operatives.
- Highlight potential operational issues that could impact the operation, including hygiene and damage issues, to the Team Manager to keep complaints/issues at a minimum.
Requirements
- Educated to secondary school level with basic numeracy and literacy.
- Flexible to support fluctuations in customer volume.
- Proven experience of communicating effectively and building relationships.
- Ability to work towards targets while adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
- Flexible and adaptable with a can-do attitude.
- Honest, trustworthy and able to adapt to business needs.
- Comfortable working in a pressurised, ever-changing, customer-driven environment.
- Experience of using MHE (PPT and CB) would be preferable.
- RTITB licences would be advantageous.
- An NVQ in Warehousing or relevant subject would be beneficial.
- DBS check required via the Criminal Records Bureau.
