Overview
Due to growth we are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team in Swan Valley, Northampton. Reporting to the First Line Manager, you will support and lead a team within the warehouse to deliver exceptional levels of customer service. Our customer is at the heart of what we do and why we do it, we need someone to ensure all orders are efficiently and accurately picked and dispatched within customer requirements.
Shifts are any 5 from 7 and 06:00 to 14:00
Salary – Up to £25k
Responsibilities
- Someone people focused and able to assist in the effective management of the team (communications, attendance, performance, and conduct)
- Someone who understands the warehouse and can plan and co-ordinate activity in line with projected volumes.
- Support and lead a team function within the warehouse to deliver the expected customer service in terms of quality, cost and lead time and report results in a timely manner.
- Allocate resource for designated team and area of control to achieve set KPI’s, targets and quality standards.
- Provide an efficient and professional level of service to all customers to meet agreed delivery schedules and SLA’s.
- Provide adequate induction, training, monitoring and support for designated team.
- You will drive a continuous improvement program, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and process improvement.
- Adhere to all emergency procedures (disaster recovery, fire, and evacuations etc.).
- Identify training needs and take appropriate action address these in line with individual and operational requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and remain in line with GDPR (Data Protection), make notes of all performance related conversations and provide written reports within critical time scales.
- Embrace the introduction of new procedures and on new equipment technology.

- Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective planning of daily manpower and control of overtime
- KPI’s and revenue managed in line with targets.
- Control pre op checks on all MHE.
- Positive attitude when dealing with challenge & change.
- Team orientated.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Drives for continuous improvement.
- PC literate, Excel & Word preferred.
