Middlewich Driver 4 on 4 off

Due to winning new business – we are recruiting experienced Class 1 drivers for our prestigious client based in Middlewich. Driving a HGV Class 1 lorry on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern in a safe manner ensuring that the loads are secured correctly and that the goods are delivered on time, offloaded in the correct manner, and ensuring all paperwork is signed.

• Permanent
• 4 on 4 off
• £34,932.17 per annum
• 42.46 hours per week
• Start times between 03:30 – 10:00
• 12 hour shift
• Single and double deck delivery retuning back to base
• Local onsite shunting will also be required
• All drivers are required to be flexible to work nights out when needed
• Shift premiums paid for overtime and nights out
• All successful candidates will be required to have a BPSS and a Criminal Records Check covering a full five year period

How will you contribute?

• Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products.
• Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
• Checking secure load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
• Be aware of the vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary.
• Attend essential training in order to carry out the Driver role.

What will you bring?

• Must have valid in date Class 1 licence
• Must have valid in date CPC
• Must hold Digital tachograph card
• Must have minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience
• Must not have more than 6 points on licence
• Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
• Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service
• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can do attitude to work
• Must have a good geographical knowledge
