A unique opportunity has arisen for experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join our successful team and support our business delivering goods throughout Northern Ireland, ASDA stores. We are looking for drivers to cover the dayshift rota.
What you need:
- Full HGV Class C&E (Class 1) Licence
- A minimum of 12 months LGV driving and delivery experience, with no more than 3 penalty points
- Possession of a Digital Tachograph card
- In possession of full DCPC (35 hours)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent customer services skills
- Flexibility
- Excellent dexterity
The Role:
- Deliveries to ASDA stores depots as Ambassadors of Wincanton Dedicated Grocery.
- Organisation and accurate completion of appropriate paperwork for each delivery consignment.
- Unloading manually required.
- Prompt and regular communication with Larne depot if any problems arise during shift.
- Safe and efficient handling of vehicle in all respects, including the optimization of fuel usage, cleanliness of cab etc.
- Pre-shift checks of vehicle and reporting of maintenance issues.
- Compliance with all legislation and procedures relating to LGV driving.
- Conducting self in a safe manner and reporting any issues which risk H&S of self/others.
- Undertake any training required by operation, the Company provide your yearly CPC training.
- To undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function i.e. shunting duties.
