The role will support the integration, innovation and optimisation of the Stock and Systems department across the EDF/Wincanton contract. The role focuses on enhancing the system\’s capabilities, driving continuous improvement for our client and ensuring a seamless integration of operational processes and Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionality.

The opportunity will playing a crucial role in being a part of our EDF contract, which supports the warehousing solutions for the HPC Nuclear Build (Hinkey Point C) in Bridgwater. The first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
Duties and responsibilities:
Working with the Contract Integration manager, serve as a subject matter expert on WMS operations (Manhattan), ensuring the system is fully utilised to support operational performance.
Identify and implement system improvements, configuration changes, and enhancements to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and boost efficiency.
Oversee WMS upgrades, integration projects, UAT, and change control processes in collaboration with IT and customer teams.
Champion a culture of process optimisation and data-driven decision-making across the stock and systems function.
Lead CI initiatives focused on standardisation , and performance improvement using tools like Lean, root cause analysis, and process mapping.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align system processes with operational best practices and business goals.
Provide guidance on technical/system issues, performance targets, and staff development alongside the Stock & Systems manager.
Support contract-level system strategy, performance reporting, and integration of new services.
Ensure robust processes are in place for inventory control, reconciliation, and investigation of variances.
Maintain full compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards across all stock handling and system activity.
Lead system-driven audit preparations and ensure resolution of any findings or corrective actions.
Serve as the key point of contact for customer/system queries and improvement initiatives related to WMS, stock visibility, and reporting.
Experience, Skills, and Attributes:
Proven experience in a WMS-heavy role within a warehouse or logistics environment – Manhattan WMS preferred.
Strong understanding of end-to-end warehouse processes, inventory control, and operational workflows.
Demonstrated success in leading system optimisation projects, implementing enhancements, and supporting integrations.
Strong leadership experience managing first-line managers and technical teams.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft platforms (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI).
Experience with CI methodologies and applying them to system or process challenges.
Confident communicator, capable of engaging senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships.
