Job Description
We are currently recruiting for Delivery Technician – Drivers, to join our busy and evolving transport team for Restoration Hardware, working for a leading logistics company. As a home delivery driver, you\’ll be responsible for delivering products from the Warehouse/Distribution Centre to our customers\’ residences; ensuring our products are delivered safely with an exceptional service. Salary: £55,587 per year
Shift Pattern: Working 5 days per week Tuesday – Saturday. Additional days may be needed on an ad-hoc basis.
Location: Harlow Distribution Centre, Icon Park, Third Avenue
Essential Skills Required
- Valid and in date LGV, HGV Class 2 licence or 7.5t licence
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- An up-to-date Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
- A good understanding of Drivers hours, legislation, and WTD
- No more than 6 points endorsed on your driving licence
- DBS required in which the company will provide
- Attention to details
- Ability to assess, lift and manage heavy items as part of a 2/3- or 4-person crew
Experience & Key Skills
- Clear and effective communication skills for conveying delivery information, addressing customer inquiries, and providing updates on delivery status
- Maintaining a professional demeanour throughout interactions with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Presenting oneself neatly, in a professional manner and adhering to company dress code policies
- Understanding the importance of delivering exceptional service and striving to exceed customer expectations
- Effective time management skills to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to delivery schedules and deadlines
- This role is hands-on, it involves heavy lifting/ handling and is full of variety. It is therefore essential that the successful applicant is capable to carry out this nature of work
- Flexibility in work hours may be required to accommodate operational needs and respond to emergencies or unplanned events outside of regular business hours
