About the Role
We are recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support Sainsburys convenience store network. You will play a key role in ensuring stores are stocked on time, delivering safely, efficiently, and with a high level of service. This is a stable, long-term opportunity with one of the UK’s leading logistics providers, working on a well-established grocery contract.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Completing multi-drop deliveries to Sainsburys local stores and RDCs
- Delivering caged and palletised goods using tail lift and kerbside methods
- Ensuring all delivery paperwork is accurate and completed correctly
- Collecting empties, returns and agreed waste materials
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Providing excellent customer service as a representative of Wincanton & Sainsburys
- Staying compliant with tachograph, driver hours and transport regulations
What We’re Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, professional and able to work independently
- Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays
Please note: A Drug & Alcohol test will be conducted at interview stage.
