A unique opportunity has arisen for experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our successful team and support our business delivering goods throughout Northern Ireland, ASDA stores.
What you need:
- Full HGV Class C&E (Class 1) Licence
- A minimum of 12 months LGV driving and delivery experience, with no more than 3 penalty points
- Possession of a Digital Tachograph card
- In possession of full DCPC (35 hours)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexibility
- Excellent dexterity
The Role:
- Deliveries to ASDA stores depots as Ambassadors of Wincanton.
- Organisation and accurate completion of appropriate paperwork for each delivery consignment.
- Unloading manually required.
- Prompt and regular communication with Larne depot if any problems arise during shift.
- Safe and efficient handling of vehicle in all respects, including the optimization of fuel usage, cleanliness of cab etc.
- Pre-shift checks of vehicle and reporting of maintenance issues.
- Compliance with all legislation and procedures relating to LGV driving.
- Conducting self in a safe manner and reporting any issues which risk H&S of self/others.
- Undertake any training required by operation; the Company provides your yearly CPC training.
- To undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function i.e. shunting duties.
