Are you an experienced Stock Control Manager ready to take ownership of warehouse stock and make a real impact in a busy manufacturing environment? Winberry is partnering with a well-established manufacturing business near Yeovil looking for a proactive, hands-on manager to oversee inventory operations, improve processes, and ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and organise all stock within the stores environment, ensuring appropriate supply levels are maintained.
  • Oversee goods receipt, storage, stock control, and dispatch processes.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Work closely with warehouse, procurement, sales and logistics teams to align stock levels with operational demand.
  • Ensure minimum stock levels are maintained to support production requirements.
  • Identify and resolve stock issues including shortages, overstock and inventory inaccuracies.
  • Conduct stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Support and mentor team members within the stores function and promote continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in stock control, stores management or warehouse inventory management.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Good understanding of goods-in processes and stock documentation.
  • Experience using inventory management systems or ERP software (knowledge of Sage 50 or CIM50 would be beneficial).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and problem-solve effectively.
  • Counterbalance or Reach FLT licence desirable.
