Winberry are recruiting for an experienced Senior Technical Manager to join a well-established food manufacturing business based in Llanelli. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong food manufacturing professional with experience managing customer relationships, driving quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement activities within a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining technical compliance, supporting customer requirements, and ensuring high food safety and quality standards are consistently achieved across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical relationships with customers and external stakeholders
- Support customer audits, site visits, and technical reviews
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and legal standards
- Work closely with production and operational teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Review specifications, technical documentation, and customer requirements
- Assist in maintaining and improving quality management systems
Requirements
- Previous experience within a technical or quality role in food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of food safety and quality systems
- Experience working directly with customers and audits
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
Desirable Experience
- HACCP qualification
- Experience working with BRCGS standards
- Retailer-facing experience
- Food science or related qualification

- £55,000 – £60,000 per annum
