The role of Quality Manager will involve having full responsibility for the site's Quality Management System, ensuring products consistently meet customer, legal and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and developing the site's Quality Management System (QMS)
- Leading food safety, quality and compliance activities across the business
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement and audit readiness
- Managing internal and external audits and maintaining compliance with recognised industry standards
- Overseeing HACCP systems and supporting food safety initiatives
- Investigating non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Managing customer specifications and quality documentation
- Coordinating product testing, environmental monitoring and shelf‑life programmes
- Producing KPI reports and quality performance data
- Working collaboratively with Production and Operations to continually improve quality standards
About You
You’ll be able to demonstrate proven experience as a Quality Manager who enjoys working collaboratively and leading quality improvements across a manufacturing operation.
Desired qualifications and skills
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Quality or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and recognised food safety standards
- HACCP qualification
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach with strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
