I am partnering with a growing electro-mechanical engineering business to recruit an experienced Electrical Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys leading a team to deliver high-quality, precision engineering projects.

About the Role

As the Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee the electrical department, ensuring work meets required standards and schedules. You will supervise and support a team of technicians, manage performance, and maintain compliance with all health and safety requirements. The role involves electro-mechanical installation, testing, and maintenance of specialist machinery, as well as ongoing team and quality management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor electrical staff, ensuring team performance and productivity targets are met.
  • Conduct inspections of works to ensure quality, safety, and program compliance.
  • Identify issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including safety inspections and compliance documentation.
  • Support the Operations Manager with reporting on performance, quality assessments, and H&S compliance.
  • Ensure full adherence to health and safety standards, including CDM regulations and PPE requirements.
  • Undertake training to support ongoing development and skills enhancement.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with electrical safety standards.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS certification.
  • CSCS card.
  • Proven experience supervising teams in an industrial or electro-mechanical environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
