I am partnering with a growing electro-mechanical engineering business to recruit an experienced Electrical Supervisor. About the Role
As the Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee the electrical department, ensuring work meets required standards and schedules. You will supervise and support a team of technicians, manage performance, and maintain compliance with all health and safety requirements. The role involves electro-mechanical installation, testing, and maintenance of specialist machinery, as well as ongoing team and quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor electrical staff, ensuring team performance and productivity targets are met.
- Conduct inspections of works to ensure quality, safety, and program compliance.
- Identify issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including safety inspections and compliance documentation.
- Support the Operations Manager with reporting on performance, quality assessments, and H&S compliance.
- Ensure full adherence to health and safety standards, including CDM regulations and PPE requirements.
- Undertake training to support ongoing development and skills enhancement.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience working with electrical safety standards.
- SMSTS / SSSTS certification.
- CSCS card.
- Proven experience supervising teams in an industrial or electro-mechanical environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
