We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hygiene Manager to join a high-performing retail packing facility in Wales during an exciting period of growth and expansion. This is a key leadership opportunity for a Hygiene Manager to play a pivotal role within the Food Safety & Quality function. The successful Hygiene Manager will support ongoing business development while driving hygiene excellence, continuous improvement, and team capability across site operations.

As Hygiene Manager, you will take ownership of hygiene standards, systems, and performance, operating as a key representative of the technical team in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading all site hygiene activities, ensuring standards are consistently met, maintained, and improved.
  • Managing day-to-day hygiene operations across the site, ensuring full compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and relevant legislation.
  • Leading, training, and developing the hygiene team, building capability, engagement, and a strong culture of accountability.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen hygiene systems and embed best practice across all areas of the operation.
  • Taking a leading role in audits, inspections, and customer visits, ensuring the site is fully prepared and represented to the highest standard.
  • Working closely with the wider Technical team to deliver consistent standards and support strategic hygiene initiatives across the business.
  • Contributing to the implementation of technical strategies aligned with customer expectations and business needs.

About You

To succeed as a Hygiene Manager, you will bring strong leadership capability, technical knowledge, and a hands-on approach to hygiene management. You will ideally have:

  • Strong understanding of food safety principles and BRC standards.
  • Previous experience in hygiene within a food manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a Hygiene Manager or similar role.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Confidence using IT systems including Microsoft Office, ERP, and hygiene management systems.
  • A proactive, hands-on leadership style.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
