The Opportunity
Winberry are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing and well-established business in the renewable energy and power generation sector. Due to continued growth, our partner is looking to appoint CHP Engineers to service, maintain and repair large internal combustion engines across multiple sites in the Berkshire region. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with mechanical or electrical experience who is looking to move into the renewables / CHP industry, with strong earning potential and long-term career development.
The Role
- Service, maintenance and repair of CHP power units (Jenbacher, MTU, Cummins, Caterpillar)
- Working across multiple customer sites in your region
- Planned and reactive maintenance of critical power assets
- Working alongside experienced engineers with full training provided
- Participation in call-out rota once fully trained
These engines play a key role in supporting the UK power grid, making this a hands-on, responsible engineering role with real impact.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified engineer (mechanical or electrical)
- Experience with engines, generators, plant, marine, forces or power systems
- CHP experience beneficial but not essential
- Comfortable with overtime and call-out once trained
- Strong fault-finding and hands-on maintenance skills
