To ensure outstanding levels of guest service within the Community Sports Centre in liaison with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager and colleagues adopting a pro-active, collaborative approach. This role is based at The Wimbledon Qualifying and Community Sports Centre (Roehampton).

What you will be doing:

  • Providing excellent ‘front of house’ customer service; welcoming players and visitors, receiving deliveries and answering routine enquiries.
  • Understanding and awareness of the Club’s high expectations – pro-actively resolve issues that compromise our standards with a solution focused approach.
  • Providing onsite supervision of the venue at evenings and weekends as per your rota, ensuring daily site inspections for the Community Sports Centre including the site opening and closing procedures – escalating or resolving queries as appropriate.
  • Supporting the registration of new customers taking bookings and payments for bookings, processing refunds and other administrative support.
  • Liaising and communicating with various internal and external stakeholders including: Security, Cleaning, Groundstaff, Estate Management, administrative team and coaches.
  • End to end management of court bookings including making, amending and cancelling bookings for courts, courses and private lessons and taking payments from guests and processing refunds.
  • Providing support for first aid incidents and emergencies as appropriate.
  • Understanding, awareness and compliance with the AELTC Health and Safety Policy and Procedures, Child Protection Policy and Guidelines and Site Rules.
  • Undertaking routine administration – answering queries and escalating as appropriate.

What part your role will play in The Championships:

The Wimbledon Qualifying and Community Sports Centre (Roehampton) hosts the Qualifying Event for The Championships and year-round hosts other events and tournaments as a multi-sport venue.

About you:

  • Proven, strong customer service skills, with the ability to professionally answer queries, resolve problems and escalate where appropriate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – able to build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships and communicate effectively both face to face and remotely.
  • Experience and ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Pro-active, organised, efficient, professional, reliable, able to meet deadlines with a positive, solution focused, flexible approach.
  • Strong, proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to Intermediate level.
  • Strong, proven working knowledge and experience with CRM and booking systems.
  • Experience of working in a sports centre or tennis facility and interest in tennis.
