We’re looking for an experienced HR Administrator or HR Operations professional ready to take the next step in their career.

This varied and rewarding role covers key employee lifecycle processes and offers the opportunity to lead on colleague benefits administration and engagement.

From onboarding and contractual changes to colleague communications, you’ll help deliver a first-class colleague experience in support of both our year-round workforce and The Championships.

You’ll be organised, detail-focused and committed to delivering excellent service.

You’ll bring experience in core HR administration processes, confidence in using HR systems and Excel, and a strong interest in employee engagement and benefits.

You’ll also be curious, positive and proactive, with a desire to improve ways of working and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Employee Lifecycle and Administration
  • Provide first-class year-round HR support, including world-class service during The Championships, helping the HR team deliver the people plan and wider business strategy.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, including probation tracking, and offboarding process for year-round colleagues.
  • Lead on the administration for any employee lifecycle changes (e. g. changes to salary, hours, job title etc), issuing contractual amendments as required.
  • Ensure employee records, contractual changes, working patterns, holidays and benefits information are always accurately maintained in the HR system, and other online and offline data sources.
  • Coordinate all employee changes impacting payroll, ensuring timely communication with payroll colleagues on a regular basis.
  • Support family leave administration (e. g. maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental).
  • Track probation periods and ensure review processes are followed and completed.
  • Act as first-line support for employee and manager queries, providing clear and practical guidance and escalating complex matters to other HR colleagues appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation, templates and process guidance.
  • Carry out general administration for the department such as manual and online filing, mail-outs and digital communications.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection requirements.

  • Bring our colleague benefits to life by designing and delivering communications, engagement activity and personalised colleague campaigns through a range of communication channels (emails, Teams, webinars, in-person events etc).
  • Maintain accurate benefit records and ensure effective data management between the HR team and benefit providers.
  • Ensure documentation, policies and intranet content relating to benefits are kept up to date.
  • Coordinate preparation of gender pay gap reporting activity, including analysis, submission and communications.
  • Ensure all employee changes, including salaries and allowances, are correctly input into the HR system, and maintained accurately.
  • HR Technology and Data
  • Act as a first point of contact for any HR system queries, troubleshooting and resolving basic system issues, escalating as required.
  • Support testing, implementation activity and adoption of new HR technology and features.
  • Act as a superuser for the workforce management system, supporting managers with processes, training and issue resolution.
  • Provide operational feedback to support improvements to HR systems and processes.
  • Support the maintenance of system documentation and user guidance.
  • Support people reporting requests.
  • The Championships
  • Support the recruitment team with the administration of high-volume seasonal recruitment, onboarding and offboarding activity (circa 2,000 temporary colleagues).
  • Support roster-related queries, time exception management and coordination with payroll for all temporary Championships colleagues.
  • Provide regular workforce reports during The Championships to support operational and financial decision-making.
  • Help deliver a positive employee experience for our seasonal colleagues during peak periods.
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Act as a role model for our organisational values and behaviours.
  • Provide and promote a high level of service to colleagues in line with our service framework, “The Wimbledon Way”.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues across HR, Finance and the wider business.
  • Support HR Business Partners and the Recruitment team with operational delivery where required.
  • Provide operational input into wider HR projects.
  • Maintain a good working awareness of employment law and HR best practice.

About You

Essential

  • Proven experience in an HR administration or HR operations role, with a good understanding of employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, offboarding and contractual changes.
  • Experience administering employee benefits or pensions, with a genuine interest in benefits communications and employee engagement.
  • Confident using HR systems and other technology to manage processes, maintain accurate records and support data quality.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables, reporting and data visualisation.
  • Good understanding of basic payroll processes, including how HR changes impact payroll.
  • Up to date understanding of UK employment legislation, HR best practice and the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
  • Highly organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines and high volumes of activity while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally to employee and manager queries and build collaborative working relationships across the organisation.
  • Confident working with large amounts of people data and reports, with the ability to identify issues, check accuracy and present information clearly.
  • People-first approach, with a commitment to delivering a high-quality colleague experience.
  • Calm, resilient and adaptable when working under pressure, particularly during peak operational periods.
  • Curious, positive and proactive, with the confidence to ask questions, challenge existing processes and suggest practical improvements.

  • Experience supporting a high-volume or seasonal workforce.
  • Experience working with a workforce management or time and attendance system.
  • CIPD Level 3 or above, or working towards CIPD qualifications.
