The role of Digital Literacy Lead at Wimbledon High School is a unique cross‑phase position that combines teaching, curriculum design, staff development and academic leadership across both the Junior and Senior Schools. The successful candidate will shape and deliver a coherent vision for digital literacy and emerging technologies, ensuring students develop technical skills, digital fluency, critical awareness, creativity and judgement needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. The role will also involve supporting colleagues in the effective use of technology to enhance teaching and learning, helping to build confidence and expertise across the school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a progressive digital literacy curriculum across all phases.
  • Teach Computing in the Upper Junior and Senior Schools.
  • Contribute to Wimbledon High School’s Playful Scholarship Portfolio.
  • Support staff development in educational technology.
  • Lead enrichment initiatives such as coding clubs, robotics programmes and other technology‑focused projects.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should have a proven track record of successful teaching and experience in curriculum development, educational technology or academic leadership. Experience leading or contributing to enrichment opportunities such as coding clubs, robotics programmes or digital leadership initiatives is advantageous. The successful candidate will be an intellectually curious, collaborative educator excited by the ethical and creative questions raised by technology and committed to helping young people become confident, thoughtful and responsible participants in the digital world.
