Wimbledon High School is seeking an outstanding and experienced leader to join its Junior School as Deputy Head.Detail This is a key leadership role with broad responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the Junior School, alongside making a significant contribution to its strategic direction, teaching and learning, curriculum development and pupil outcomes. Working closely with the Head of Junior School and as part of the wider Senior Management Team, you will help ensure that every pupil benefits from exceptional care, an ambitious and engaging curriculum, and the opportunity to achieve their full potential. You will take a leading role in the smooth running of the Junior School, deputising for the Head when required and working closely with the Junior Leadership Team. Responsibilities will span curriculum improvement, staff development, assessment and pupil progress, parent communications, admissions and transition, timetabling, events and the effective deployment of resources. You will also lead the Junior School Assessment Team, ensuring that attainment and progress data are used purposefully to inform teaching and support excellent outcomes for pupils. We are looking for an inspiring and highly effective educational leader who combines excellent classroom practice with strong strategic, operational and people-management skills. You will have successful leadership and management experience, and a strong understanding of Junior School education and child development. You will be organised, adaptable and calm under pressure, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
