We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Dental Nurse, qualified or trainee to join our friendly and professional team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care while supporting the dentist during a wide range of procedures. Reception experience or knowledge is highly desirable, as the role may include occasional front-of-house duties.

Key Responsibilities- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patients feel comfortable, informed, and reassured throughout their visit.
- Prepare, sterilise, and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with cross-infection control and health & safety regulations.
- Accurately take and update patient medical histories, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Provide clear post-operative care instructions and answer patient queries regarding treatments and procedures.
- Maintain stock levels of dental materials and supplies, ensuring the surgery is fully prepared for each session.
- Support reception duties when required, including answering calls, booking appointments, greeting patients, and managing the patient journey.
- Work collaboratively with dentists and the wider team to deliver outstanding patient care.
- Patient-Focused Approach: Demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to patient wellbeing.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and confidently.
- Nursing Experience: Previous dental nursing experience is preferred; relevant healthcare experience will also be considered.
- Reception Knowledge (Preferred): Experience with front-desk duties and appointment systems is advantageous.
- IT Proficiency: Comfortable using dental software systems and general computer applications.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and high clinical standards.
