Are you ready to lead the way in protecting vital digital services that support communities across Wiltshire? We are looking for a Senior Technical Security Officer to join our ICT team. Our mission is to deliver simple, secure, and reliable IT that works every time.

In this role, you will take the lead in designing and delivering advanced cyber security solutions that keep our systems safe, resilient, and future‑ready. You will use your expertise to detect and respond to threats, engineer and maintain security tools, and support the delivery of robust security controls. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and partners to ensure our defences are strong, scalable, and aligned with best practice. You will also act as a subject matter expert, advising on technical risks and mentoring colleagues.

You will need significant experience in ICT security, strong decision‑making skills, and expert knowledge in areas such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Azure/M365 security, and vulnerability management. You’ll be confident working independently, solving complex problems, and communicating clearly with colleagues at all levels.
