We are seeking a proactive FM Operations Assistant to support the delivery of high quality services across the council’s estate, including hubs, depots, leisure centres and libraries. This role is key to ensuring buildings are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
You will act as the first point of contact for Facilities Management queries, resolving issues and escalating where needed. The role is varied and includes managing post services, monitoring supplies, supporting deliveries, porterage and courier duties across the county. You will assist with office moves, basic maintenance such as painting and decorating, and grounds tasks including safety checks.
You will carry out compliance activities such as fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks and system monitoring. You will also provide first line support for building and basic IT issues, manage access cards and use CAFM systems to record and manage tasks.
We are looking for someone with experience in a front line Facilities Management role, a good understanding of health and safety, and strong customer service skills. You should be organised, confident using IT systems, and able to work independently.
This role operates on a rota basis and will require flexibility to support different shift patterns.
