We are looking for an exceptional educational professional who is passionate about improving teaching and learning and thrives on working collaboratively with schools to drive positive change. If you are motivated by closing gaps for disadvantaged learners and inspiring teachers to deliver their best, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across Wiltshire.

As part of our School Effectiveness service, you will join a committed team focused on raising standards, strengthening leadership and improving outcomes for all pupils. You will work with a wide range of schools, access evidence-informed practice, contribute to countywide initiatives and benefit from professional development, new technology and systemwide collaboration within an ambitious local authority.

Your daily work will centre on modelling and developing high quality, inclusive teaching, coaching school leaders and teachers, delivering impactful CPD, and supporting schools to use data, research and strategic planning to enhance outcomes. You will provide targeted support and challenge, carry out reviews and learning walks, and support broader school improvement priorities across the county.

To be successful, you will need Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a proven record of exceptional teaching, strong experience coaching or supporting others, and deep knowledge of inclusive, evidence-based classroom practice. You will be reflective, organised and credible, committed to improving outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, and able to build strong professional relationships while driving sustainable improvement.

If you want to play a key role in shaping excellent teaching across Wiltshire and helping every child achieve their potential, we would love to hear from you.

Why us? Wiltshire Council is a friendly, welcoming place to work, with a 'One Council' ethos. Our hybrid working model means office staff are on site for at least half their hours, community-based staff carry out at least half their admin time in a workplace, and customer-facing roles work entirely from their service location. We are committed to creating a workplace where positive relationships thrive and everyone feels engaged, supported and able to do their best. We do not tolerate discrimination, bullying or harassment. Everyone is expected to promote a culture of inclusion, dignity, trust and respect, guided by our vision and Our Identity.
