Community Tutor in Trowbridge

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Community Tutor to deliver engaging learning programmes for Wiltshire's most vulnerable learners to develop skills, gain qualifications, improve their confidence, and progress into further learning, employment, apprenticeships, or volunteering opportunities.

As a Community Tutor, you will plan, develop and deliver high-quality learning programmes that meet learners' individual needs and help them achieve their goals, whatever their starting point. Working with people from a range of backgrounds, you will create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that motivates learners and builds their aspirations.

You will:

• Assess learners' starting points and tailor support to meet individual needs.
• Track learner progress, provide developmental feedback and celebrate achievement.
• Deliver information, advice and guidance to support progression into education, employment or training.
• Maintain accurate learner records to meet quality and funding requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, community partners and other professionals to maximise learner engagement and outcomes.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with disadvantaged learners, or individuals facing barriers to learning and progression. You will be an excellent communicator, able to build positive relationships and inspire learners to achieve their potential.

You will have:

• NVQ Level 4 qualification (or equivalent).
• A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience of teaching, training, mentoring or supporting learners.
• A good understanding of safeguarding, equality and diversity, Prevent, and health and safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check due to regulated activity with children and vulnerable adults.
