Wiltshire Council has a vision to support people in the community to live the best life they can. Our Reablement Service is looking for a passionate Team Manager to join us in the continued development and management of reablement provision. The Reablement Service works in an integrated relationship with health partners. We provide a discharge to assess pathway that supports people to return home from hospital in a seamless whole system approach called Wiltshire Reablement and Homefirst Services. The Reablement team also provides social care reablement and equipment to the residents of Wiltshire. This is a fixed term post to provide continuity to the team during the next 12 months. This position comes with a 12.5% market supplement payment. All market supplement payments are subject to review on an annual basis.

Responsibilities

  • Line manage the staff within the operational aspect of the service, including Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Physiotherapists and Social Care practitioners in the team.
  • Report to the Service Manager and work in partnership with the leadership team you oversee, alongside the Principal Occupational Therapist, Adult Care Team Managers, CQC Registered Managers and staff.
  • Collaborate with partners within the council and in health, private and voluntary sector to build lasting relationships.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Occupational Therapist with extensive experience.
  • Previous work within Social Care and/or the NHS would be beneficial.
  • Ability to be an inspirational leader and role model, motivating the team to achieve best practice within their wide-ranging roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure the reablement service works positively with the people they support and enables staff to deliver high-quality customer care and service.

Contract and working arrangements

  • Hours per week: 37 hours
  • Temporary/Fixed term: 12 months
