Teaching Assistant (TA) with MDSA duties at lunch time and Wraparound Care on Thursday and Friday.
Salary:
- Teaching Assistant based on experience: Grade C - £12.85/hr - £13.05/hr (FTE £24,796 - £25,185 pro rata)
- MDSA: Grade B - £12.85/hr (FTE £24,796 pro rata)
- Wraparound Care Assistant: Grade C - £12.85/hr - £13.05/hr (FTE £24,796 - £25,185 pro rata)
Hours of Work:
- Teaching Assistant: 8:45 am – 12:00 pm Thursday and Friday; 1:00 pm – 3:15 pm Thursday and Friday
- MDSA: 12:30 midday – 1:00 pm (Thursday)
- Wraparound Care: 3:15 pm – 5:45 pm Thursday and 3:15 pm – 4:45 pm Friday
A half-hour unpaid break between 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm (times may vary).
Contract Type: Permanent (Term time plus 5+ weeks holiday pay)
Responsibilities:
- Support pupils' learning either in groups or through 1:1 work.
- Manage children and appropriate behaviour during school activities.
- Assist with lunchtime delivery of meals and ensure all children are eating.
- Oversee packed lunches and supervise children in after-lunch play.
- Help with food handling, breakfast and tea provision.
- Perform physical tasks such as cleaning, clearing, and stacking tables and benches.
- Provide general assistance to staff during lunchtime.
Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic, kind, reliable, calm and patient approach.
- Ability to work under pressure with a good sense of humour.
- Experience working with children, including those with additional needs (applicants with experience invited; new to school working applicants also welcomed).
- Good organisation, motivation and confidence in managing groups of children.
- First Aid training and other relevant training as required.
- Professional DBS check and Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Dates:

- Commencement date: Tuesday 25th May 2026 or as soon as possible after checks have been completed.
