Help us make a real difference to our residents. We\’re looking for a proactive Area Maintenance Surveyor to help keep our social housing homes safe, well maintained, and fit for the future. You\’ll manage a patch of properties, carrying out inspections, diagnosing defects, and ensuring high‑quality delivery of reactive and planned works.

The role
You\’ll inspect homes for repairs, damp and mould, voids, disrepair, and planned maintenance needs. You\’ll diagnose building issues, specify remedial works, and monitor contractors to ensure quality, cost control, and compliance. You\’ll produce technical reports and schedules, ensure all works meet health and safety and regulatory standards, and communicate clearly with tenants throughout. You\’ll also support wider asset management and long‑term improvement programmes.

About you
You\’ll have strong experience in building repairs, maintenance, or refurbishment—ideally within social housing. You\’re confident diagnosing defects, interpreting technical data, and producing clear reports. You understand safety standards such as HHSRS and can manage contractors, priorities, and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Most importantly, you\’re committed to improving the quality, safety, and sustainability of our homes.
