The North Wessex Downs National Landscape, an area of outstanding natural beauty, managed by a dedicated team hosted by Wiltshire Council, is seeking a Landscape Enhancement Initiative Project Support Officer. The team works collaboratively to conserve and enhance the landscape. It also delivers a range of environmental projects by securing and managing funding to work with landowners and stakeholders to enhance and protect the landscape.

The Project Support Officer will play a key role in delivering the Landscape Enhancement Initiative, supporting project coordination, financial management, and reporting. The role involves monitoring budgets and progress, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and working closely with partners, farmers, and stakeholders to ensure success. It also includes data analysis, maintaining records, overall project administration and working with the communications officer to support all communications.

The postholder will require an HNC or NVQ Level 4 in a relevant profession, or equivalent experience, along with strong experience in conservation land management, ecological knowledge, and working with farmers and landowners to support environmental projects. They must be highly organised, able to manage competing demands and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines independently and as part of a small team, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The role will be based at the North Wessex Downs National Landscape Office in Hungerford, with some travel to other sites as required.
