Salary: Grade D £31,537 - £33,143 per annum (rising by annual increments to £33,143) – pay award pending. More information on salaries and progression can be found on our pay and policies page.
Hours of work: Full-time 37 hours per week.
Contract: Temporary until October 2027, or until the return of the substantive postholder.
Location: There will be a requirement to attend your centre of duty location in Wiltshire approximately 2 days a week plus a full week once a month to oversee the clinic schedule and meetings. When you are not working from your centre of duty location there will be the flexibility to work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices, and we will welcome a conversation with the successful candidate on what type of flexible working arrangement will work best for you.

As a HR Advisor (Health and Wellbeing) in our People department you will:
- Provide HR advice and support to line managers, business partners and all employees on HR Wellbeing issues.
- Review, draft and produce all HR related documents (e.g. policies, sickness management, stress management, routine medicals, occupational health, fitness) to ensure they are fit for purpose on a regular basis.
- Advise on, oversee and have responsibility for progression of occupational health cases. This includes procedures, processes, guidance (manuals) and delivering training.
What makes you our ideal HR Advisor (Health and Wellbeing)?
- Post specific qualification at Level 3 or equivalent, or able to demonstrate a significant level of HR experience at an Advisor level.
- Experience of best practice guidelines and employment legislation requirements to minimise organisational risk.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and able to demonstrate a positive attitude to internal/external customer care.
Other Information:
- You must have a full current driving licence and be able to fulfil the significant travel requirements of the role. Use of your own vehicle will be required; however, a Service vehicle may be available. Please note Service vehicles are predominately manual transmission only. Travel requirements are at least once a week to centre of duty and once a month to oversee clinics at Bromham, Chippenham.
