About the role: Frogwell Primary School and Complex Needs Resource Base is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and reflective Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a high-quality classroom practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to ensuring that all pupils make strong academic, social and personal progress.

The successful candidate will:

  • Carry out the professional duties of a teacher in line with the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD) and Teachers’ Standards (2012)
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive and well-managed learning environment where pupils thrive
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and support strong pupil progress
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and high expectations for all pupils
  • Take responsibility for the learning, pastoral care and development of pupils
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents/carers and external agencies
  • Contribute positively to the wider life, ethos and vision of the school

There may be opportunities to take responsibility for a curriculum subject or key area of school life, depending on experience and school priorities.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
  • Evidence of successful primary teaching to a high standard
  • Secure subject knowledge across the primary curriculum, including early reading and phonics
  • A strong understanding of assessment for learning and inclusive practice, including SEN
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
  • High expectations for pupils’ learning, behaviour and personal development
  • A reflective approach to practice and a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team
  • Experience across a range of primary year groups, subject leadership, or training in areas such as restorative practice or de-escalation strategies would be welcomed.
