Are you an experienced and passionate social worker ready to inspire the next generation of practitioners? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner to lead, support and develop a team of Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs), helping them build confidence, capability and excellence in practice while delivering outstanding outcomes for children, young people and families.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will provide professional supervision, coaching and performance management, ensuring team members work confidently within legislative, policy and procedural frameworks. You will maintain oversight of cases and projects, support decision-making around complex interventions, child protection and case progression, and ensure statutory responsibilities are delivered to the highest standard and within required timescales.

Working closely with managers, partner agencies and multi-disciplinary professionals, you will chair meetings, strengthen collaborative relationships and champion effective joint working. You will play a key role in driving service quality through auditing, performance monitoring and continuous improvement, while promoting a strong team identity, a culture of learning and a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Alongside supporting the professional development of others, you will manage a number of complex cases, modelling excellent social work practice and ensuring children, young people and families remain at the heart of decision-making. This is an opportunity to contribute to service development, promote innovative practice and help shape positive outcomes across the wider service.

If you are a confident social work professional with strong leadership skills, a commitment to safeguarding and a passion for developing others, we would love to hear from you.
