All about the role:
We are seeking a reliable and friendly Cleaner to join our team at a welcoming primary school. This important role helps ensure our classrooms and shared areas remain clean, safe, and ready for young children to learn and play.
Key Responsibilities:
- Has a clear understanding of the needs of a school
- Can integrate well into a community and team
- Will take pride in their role within the school
- Can prioritise their own workload and respond to unexpected needs
- Supervise cleaning staff and ensure the school buildings and grounds are cleaned to the required standard and work as a member of the cleaning team
- Can manage and oversee the work of others
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Has qualifications/experience of carrying out specialist building maintenance works in one or more areas e.g. carpentry, plastering, plumbing, electricity etc.
- Be responsible for school security including locking of school buildings
- Be a keyholder to attend alarm call outs

- Trustworthy, punctual, and hardworking
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean environment
- Able to work independently
- Cleaning experience is helpful but not essential
