All about the role

Westwood with Iford Primary School is looking for a dedicated 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful school family. This part-time role includes supporting pupils during lessons and assisting our midday supervisory team over the lunch break. Working closely under the guidance of the Class Teacher and SENDCo, you will deliver planned learning activities and specialised programmes to support a specific student.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone ideally with experience of working with SEN students, preferably in a primary environment.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and confident in supporting students in their progress through the curriculum.
  • Good organisational skills, flexible working practices and patience are also essential.
  • Someone who is confident in providing intimate personal care and able to manage personal care plans and delivery of medication.
  • Who can align with the vision and values of Westwood with Iford School and the Palladian Academy Trust.

Training will be provided. This is a temporary contract linked to a named child, working 2 days per week, 12 hours 20 minutes per week. The post is term time only plus one INSET.
